Pam Burkhart, LCSW, CADC, CTS
Pam comes to Decatur Psychological after a 20 + year career in the public non-profit arena. Pam is a lifetime resident of Decatur, earning her Bachelor in Arts degree in Human Services from Millikin University in 1999 and her Masters in Social Work from Illinois State University in 2009. She has presented workshops throughout the state to many sectors on the effects of violence on children and families, Crisis Intervention and Response, Community Response to Violence, parenting and many others. She has extensive training in trauma, domestic violence, anger management in children and adults, substance abuse and family issues and spent the last 12 years of her career focused on children, violence and trauma.
Pam is certified in play therapy, substance abuse, trauma, and trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. She is also a certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) to complete Department Of Transportation (DOT) approved assessments for those with a CDL that require an assessment.
